My name is Tobi- Fairy Elf of the Pink Pixie Forest. This is the place where my imagination lives and plays with the Pixies and Fairies, and where I create sparkly treasures to remind myself that we should never forget the blessing of "re- seeing" the world thru a child's eye again... full of wonder and amazement.

Welcome Friends, Pixies, Elves, Fairies!

Well,

it's slowly coming together- my little Fairy Pixie World! Thank you for stopping by! I am in LOVE with this blogging thing-great, now I have yet another excuse not to finish things I really should be finishing! But let that be our little secret!

I have always been enchanted with faerie folk, and now I guess it's time to explore just how creative I can get! Doing crafty little things like Fairy trees and other wee folk type things I will dream up keeps me very happy. I also enjoy having something creative to do while I am waiting for my garden and all of it's fairies to come to life!

The person mainly responsible for my venture into this crafty blog heaven is Jen of J. Nichelle. Yep- she doesn't even know it yet, but I want to be her when I grow up! I am in such awe of her creativity, description writing skills and can only imagine the motherload of vintage mercury, ornaments and sugarbells- not to mention mica snow in her workshop, the pixies and fairies would have a field day for sure in there! She is also responsible for my Lefton Pixie addiction...Yikes! As soon as my blogs are presentable, I will surely contact her to let her know what a blessing she has been to me over the past few months by inspiring me to dust off my glue gun! If you know her, please give her a big hug for me!

The Story of The Pixie Trees and Fairy Trees from Pink Fairy Forest

Pixies are known for being a mischievous bunch, who absolutely adore trinkets- shiny, sparkely, glittery. It is a little known fact that they sneak into your drawers at night and play with all of the pretty baubles they can find. Sometimes...ok, very often they become so enchanted with your treasures that they take them back home with them to Pink Fairy Forest. Once they are safe within the forest, they hang all of their stolen shiny bits on the trees so they can be surrounded by them. This has become quite an epidemic with the faye folk in Pink Fairy Forest- so much in fact the Fairies are now catching the fever. Fairies adore anything pearly or iridescent. They love pearls and are also very fond of rhinestones, but feel very guilty of taking them from you, so they will often just take a stone or two from a brooch, a few beads from a necklace in need of mending or make off with a single earring, leaving it's mate home with you wondering where you might have lost it! This epidemic has alas made it's way to the North Pole as well, with the elves catching on. Elves prefer shiny mercury glass christmas balls and beads, and many times over-do the german glass glitter and mica snow because it reminds them of their treasured North. Now you may wonder how these elves could possibly spend precious toy making time on making Elf Trees? Simple- The Internet. They email all of their cousins down south of the Pole and have them sneak into your attics and pinch your treasured ornaments! They have escaped notice thus far because for every ornament they take, they will leave you some matching shards so you will just think the ornament broke!
