Happy Pink Saturday!

Happy Pink Saturday my Sparkly Friends! The Pixies have been so hard at work opening flowers lately, I have hardly even seen them in the studio!
Please be sure to visit sweet Miss Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to see all of the other Pink Beauties my Pink Comrads have displayed!

But first, please come TipToe thru the TULIPs with me! (Just please leave out the Tiny Tim Voice!)

Aren't they a lovely shade of pink?
Here's the Cherry Tree in my front yard.
More Tulips....
Hot Pink Azaleas

And lastly, even though it isn't Pink, this lovely Violet I rescued from the front lawn... it pays to look closely!
Have a lovely day!

Have a Happy White Wednesday and Happy Outdoor Wednesday!

Hello Again My Sparkly Friends! This week, my Outdoor Wednesday happens to also be WHITE... but I did add a couple of "Interior Whites" as well to make everyone happy!
The links to both are at the bottom of this post, so make sure to go visit all the Outdoorsy Wednesday folks as well as White Wednesdayers!
First up: Spring would not be as sweet without WHITE LILACS! Can't you just smell them?

Next up is one of my all time favorite flowers as well: Viburnum carlesii - Korean Spice Viburnum . It's intoxicating scent just sends me to another world. Can you guess my other favorite flowers?...Casa Blanca Lilies, Nicotiana sylvestris, Jasmine...basically anything that smells heavenly! I do also love the pungent smell of the Marigold, and Tomato foliage! What are your favorites?

These antique Mother of Pearl Opera Glasses were given to me by my Aunt and had belonged to Mary Bigelow of Waltham Mass.

My chunky marble bathroom sink!

Thanks to all for visiting, I hope I made it worth your while! Please be my friend and leave a nice comment to make me happy! Then click the links below to visit other posters!!!

Happy Pink Faux Frosting Saturday!

Hello my Sparkly Friends! Me and the Pixies are knee deep in Faux frosting and glitter making stuff for Mothers Day! Sorry it's just what we have been working on and nothing deep or exotic this week, just busy hands and lots of PINK of course! The image above is baby Tobi turned into a Fairy cake. My friend Jen calls me "Sparkle Crack" so I thought it would be fun to translate that into a cupcake. Do you think I have too much time on my hands? Well now it became an idea to make these for people to give to their moms on Mothers day, except with them as the Fairy on the cupcake!

So there you have it- It's 2:23 am and I am going to bed so I can finish listing these in my ETSY SHOPPE (Yup, that's a linky!) I have a bunch more so have a joyous PINK SATURDAY and don't forget to visit MISS BEVERLY at How Sweet The Sound for other Pinkalicious Pinkitude.
Yup, it's late.

Happy Pink Saturday!!

Happy Pink Saturday my Sparkly Friends! As always, out heartfelt thanks to our Hostess with the Mostest- Sweet Beverly at How Sweet The Sound!! Make sure to go visit all the other Pinkies if you can.

Me and the Pixies saw this ADORABLE baby Pink Flamingo chick and just knew we had to share her!
She was in Veranda magazine and the photographer was Gregory Padget courtesy of Bobby Webb.
I mean, all babies are cute, but the little long flamingo legs... OMG I am dying from the uber-cuteness of it all! And the Pink Mommy and daddy.....pinkalicious cuteness!

Cream Silk Pin Cushion for Show and Tell Friday!

Hello my Sparkly Friends! This is my show-and-tell piece - a cream silk pincushion from 1846.
It belonged to Mary Bigelow of Waltham Mass. The design is actually made out of straight pins!

It was given to me by my husband's aunt. Her husband was related to the Mayor of Waltham, who was married to Mary. This is how it came to me. I forgot her husband's name, but it is engraved on a gold pocket watch given to him by the Waltham Watch Company. I have a few more keepsakes from this couple, but I will save them for more Show and Tell Fridays!
Have a sparkly weekend my friends, please drop by tomorrow for Pink Saturday!

Watch Out- I am a WILDWOMAN with a Soldering Iron!!

Hello Sparkly friends! I have been itching to make Fairy Wands for the longest time now for my Etsy Shoppe, and today I must have been channeling JR Tolkien! I just love making these things, and the Pixies helped. Let me know what you think please!

When I got done with the wand, I decided to embellish a bottle! Heck, why not??? I made the cap to be a flower with a tiny butterfly, and just basically went kinda crazy from there! By the way, I do use lead free solder so don't worry about me getting brain damage...a blonde needs every bit she has!!!

Hello Outdoor Wednesday!!!

Here is the link to Outdoor Wednesday!

Hello My Sparkly Friends! It is Wednesday and I just signed up for Outdoor Wednesday because that's where all the Pixies are...when they are not making mischief in my shop that is!

My first Image is the poor little misunderstood Dandelion. She is actually very beautiful, except when her family takes over your lawn and makes the neighbors whisper. If you eat the young tender leaves, they are actually a great salad green as long as you are pesticide free.

This second image is of my little baby Grape Hyacinths popping up amidst the green carpet of moss. If you want to find fairies and Pixies- THIS is the place to look. If you look very closely, you may even catch a glimpse of some sparkle!

Please visit the other Outdoor Wednesday Participants and say Hey!!!
