Pink Christmas!!!

Hellooo My Sparkly Friends!!

The Pixies and I have been hard at work

making our sparkly trees for the

2011 Christmas season!

BOB UPDATE:::

Bob is doing fine

and sends her butterfly love to all of you!!

Bob is a girl,

I just found it out.

Rather than change her name to
Bobra,
I am just leaving it at Bob,
And that is that!

She sits on my finger and drinks her nectar

every morning from a spoon.

Bob is a Monarch Butterfly
that i rescued
around October 24th
right before NY was due for a snowstorm.
She was on my recycling bin
I thought she was not alive
until i carefully picked her up and
saw otherwise!!
She loves to hang on my bedroom curtains
during the day,
and at night I put her in a box to keep her safe
from
Kitty Kitty
(yes, that is her name!)

I am going to order some milkweed plants
and make her a better place to hang out than
my windowsill.

Hopefully that will get her through the winter so i can release her in the
Spring
when all of her butterfly friends come back to NY.

Here are a few more trees-

I just LOVE making them!!

They have been listed on Ebay-

Go take a peek!!

Hello My Sparkly Friends!
So I got this quote in an email that was sent to me and
it made me chuckle:

"Live your life in such a way
that
when your feet hit the floor in the
morning,
Satan shudders and says,

"Oh no, she's awake!"

I found this quite funny
because
that is
exactly
what

MY DEAR

MOTHER

would say every morning too....

LOL-

Do you think that counts?

Have a Sparkly Day!!!

Tobi and the Pixies :)

Even Garbage can Teach Us!

Hello My SpaRkLy FrIeNds!

Today I am reposting an email from my Auntie Pat.

for anyone who has had a not so great day!

Enjoy!

Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport

We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a
black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver
slammed on his brakes,
skidded,
and missed the other car by just inches!

The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us.

My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy.
And I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, 'Why did you just do that?
This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'

This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call,

'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that
many people are like garbage trucks.

They run around full of garbage, full of frustration,
full of anger, and
full of disappointment.

As their garbage piles up,
they need a place to dump it
and sometimes they'll dump it on you.

Don't take it personally.

Just smile,
wave, wish them well,
and move on.

Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that
successful people
do not let

garbage trucks take over their day.

Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,
so ... Love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones who don't.

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a garbage-free day!

Raising Bob

Hello my SpaRkLy FrIenDs!

Meet Bob.

He is the latest addition to the Pink Pixie Forest.

I found him on top of my
Recycling Can,

outside just before we were supposed to get a big snow storm here
last weekend in New York.

I took him inside,
stirred up some sugar water
and fed him!

This isn't the first time I have taken care of a butterfly-
I kept him alive for two months
until I left him in Ohio by mistake
while visiting relatives :(

His name was Bob as well,
so I guess this one is
Bob2

This is a pic of Bob2
thinking he can get nectar from my
Bottle Brush tree
Paper Roses!

Bob sleeps and spends most of the day
on the window side of my curtains
in my bedroom.
I feed him sugar water every day
from a spoon

Hopefully I can keep him alive till the spring
when the other "Bobs" come back to town!

Needless to say, I think Bob is my special
Divine Encouragement
to keep getting my life back together.
I can't wait to become a butterfly-
this caterpillar stage is making me eat too much salad!! lol

Sparkly Hugs,
Tobi and the Pixies!
xoxoxo
